US reselling guide

What is a cook group?

A cook group is a private reselling community—usually hosted on Discord—that combines fast product information with practical sourcing support. The name came from sneaker reselling, but US groups now cover cards, electronics, tools, online arbitrage, and general retail deals.

What members usually receive

Most paid groups combine automated retailer monitors with human-curated leads. Monitors watch product pages for stock or price changes; staff add context such as demand, likely resale price, purchase limits, and relevant marketplaces.

  • Restock and release alerts
  • Price-error and clearance notifications
  • Retailer links and checkout guidance
  • Market analysis and expected-margin notes
  • Beginner guides and community support

What a cook group does not do

Membership does not guarantee inventory, successful checkout, or profit. Alerts can arrive after stock is gone, retailers can cancel orders, and resale prices can fall. The group provides information; the member still makes the buying decision.

How to choose one

Start with the products and retailers you can realistically source. Then compare monthly cost, trial terms, alert quality, community support, and how much irrelevant notification volume you would need to filter.

Example: what an alert can and cannot tell you

Imagine a feed linking to a kitchen appliance discounted to $30. The notification tells you where an offer was found; it does not establish that your store has stock or that the appliance will sell for the $65 asking price shown online. Match the model and condition with completed sales, then subtract costs. These prices are illustrative.

A membership, a bot, and a selling marketplace are separate products. The group supplies information and community access; a bot may automate checkout; the marketplace handles listings and buyers. Paying for one does not necessarily include either of the others.

Questions to ask before subscribing

  • Which exact stores, product categories, and US regions are covered?
  • What is due today, when does the introduction end, and what is the renewal charge?
  • Can you see an example alert and the current channel or onboarding outline?
  • How do you cancel, and what access remains after cancellation?
  • Does the offer include software, or will tools be billed separately?
