Editorial methodology

How we review cook groups

All CookGroups.com reviews are researched and written independently. We evaluate each group on its own merits, separating provider claims, verifiable facts, and our editorial judgment so readers can make an informed decision.

Our independent review standard: We control our research, conclusions, and recommendations. Providers cannot approve our reviews, buy a ranking, or influence our assessment through affiliate commissions.

How we research a review

We examine available evidence about a group’s membership, retailer coverage, tools, support, and pricing. Information supplied by a provider is treated as a claim to check, and we make clear where a feature or hands-on experience still needs verification. We do not assign a numerical rating until the evidence can support it.

What the current reviews establish

Our published reviews currently use public provider listings and billing information. They are written by Frank. A pricing check date records when that offer was checked; it is not a hands-on testing date. Provider descriptions remain attributed claims. Cost examples explain break-even using hypothetical figures, not actual earnings.

We have not published independent measurements of alert speed, stock accuracy, staff responsiveness, or checkout success. The criteria below describe what evidence would be needed to assess those areas. We do not imply that every criterion has been tested.

Our evaluation criteria

Alert speed and usefulness

We look beyond the timestamp. Alerts should identify the correct product, retailer, price, direct link, and enough context to decide whether the opportunity fits.

Monitor quality

Assessing a feed would require a dated record of duplicate volume, expired links, variant accuracy, and availability during release or restock windows. Public feature lists alone cannot establish those results.

US retailer coverage

We name stores only when supported by a current provider source, and label any retailer or game coverage that needs confirmation. A public claim of support does not establish stock accuracy or successful checkout. Relevant stores vary with each reader’s sourcing model.

Community and support

We record publicly advertised onboarding and support. Evaluating response times, moderation, and member experience would require direct access and documented observations; those outcomes remain unmeasured in the current reviews.

Education and beginner experience

Good education explains the full process: sourcing, net-margin checks, account risk, listing, fulfillment, and exits. A glossary alone is not enough.

Price and value

We compare the membership fee with direct alternatives and the depth of coverage. A high price can be reasonable for a specialist operator; a low price can still be poor value.

How we choose comparison order

Each comparison explains its selection criteria. A broad sourcing group may lead the general shortlist, while a card, clearance, or Amazon specialist can lead the relevant niche. The order reflects published scope, cost, and audience fit; it is not a numerical performance ranking or an exhaustive survey of every provider.

Update and correction policy

Prices and trials are timestamped. Material changes should trigger a page update, while minor copy edits do not reset a testing date. Providers and readers can submit corrections through our contact page. We assess corrections independently, and providers cannot approve copy or purchase placement.

Affiliate independence

Some links may earn us a commission, as explained in our affiliate disclosure. These relationships do not determine our conclusions or recommendations. Rankings are not sold, and a higher commission does not increase a group’s position.
